I've been there. It DOES get easier. (Seriously, by this time next week, you'll be amazed at your progress.) It's such a hard thing to do, but once it's all done and fitted and behind you, you're going to have that moment when you say "wow, this is absolutely one of the best things I've ever done!"

Also from experience: be absolutely ruthless in getting a comfortable fit. Even when you cannot stand the idea of going back to the dentists office one more time, if you have sharp spot or a little pocket of swelling, or if you're not getting a good, tight seal...go back. Get it perfect, then you don't have to worry about it for potentially years.
