The future Queen of England has vanished.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, was admitted to the London Clinic on January 16 for what was blandly referred to by Buckingham Palace as “planned abdominal surgery.” She was expected to spend up to two weeks recovering at the hospital and not resume public duties until at least Easter.
Other than saying it wasn’t related to cancer, there was no hint as to why the seemingly healthy 42-year-old mother-of-three needed surgery and such a long recovery time.
There hasn’t been a single, clear photo taken of Catherine since Christmas morning. She hasn’t issued any statements, and there have been only a few vague references from Prince William or Palace press officers regarding her progress.
There’s no precedence for this in the modern era, and the internet has started to notice.
